Lucas was desperate. He needed her response.
"Chelsey, answer me," he urged.
"Did we sleep together?"
"Go see a doctor if there's something wrong with your head. Stop spouting nonsense," Chelsey spat.
"We're divorced, so it doesn't matter if we've slept together before. I'm sleeping. Don't disturb me."
She hung up immediately after that, refusing him the opportunity to say anything else. She was afraid she would give in if she didn't instantly end the call.
She then turned her phone off and pulled her blanket over her head.
She was supposed to be fast asleep already, yet she wasn't drowsy now because of him. It was all his fault!
She figured that Lucas couldn't sleep and decided to drag her into this so she couldn't get any shut-eye either.
