Luna's POV
I stare at Alex across the small room, wondering what exactly he's up to when he says he'll tell me Rachel's story. But instead of diving into it, he's deliberately lingering, moving around the apartment like he has all the time in the world.
"How are you feeling?" he asks, his voice careful and measured. "Are you dizzy? Nauseous?"
I watch him with my mouth wide open. He looks like a completely different person.
"Do you want something to eat?" he continues, his eyes lingering on me for a second. "I think you should..." He trails off, then turns to look at me again.
I've had enough of this stalling. "Just continue talking," I say firmly, crossing my arms. "I don't want to waste time with all these questions."
Alex nods slowly, but I can see him taking a deep breath, like he's preparing himself for something difficult. He walks over to the chair across from me and sits down heavily.
