Raven’s POV
The moment Damien walked out and the door shut behind him, my mother walked closer and slapped me so fast and hard tht I was both shocked and hurt at the same time.
“Mum,” the words came out softly as tears threatened my eyes.
“How long has he been your mate?” She growled, looking at me with a venomous glare.
“It has—” I muttered, darting my eyes left and right.
“Answer me right now, Rowan,” she snapped.
I flinched, clutching my cheek in pain. “I found out that we were mates the first day I saw him, during the fight.”
Her shoulders dropped, her face went pale. A mixture of disappointment and disbelief etched on her face. “ And all this while you kept it to yourself? Why didn’t you tell me? Why did you keep such a thing from me?”
