The next three days went by in bliss, first we had the bridal shower with all the girls. The next day we all went out, including Carlos’s brother, who ranged in all ages. The youngest being only 20. I found out they all belonged to a rich business family. When I asked Aunt Gia why she hadn’t told dad about this. He would’ve been happy if he knew she was marrying someone rich and influential but she responded that she was with her fiance because she loved him not because he was rich and she wanted dad to understand that.
Today was the rehearsals for her wedding. It took place in the backyard right where the wedding was happening. I had just walked in the kitchen to see Ava and Aunt Gia with their heads together, whispering something.
“What’s going on?” I asked, both of them stood up straight at seeing me. I eyed them suspiciously.
“I heard something interesting.” Aunt Gia narrowed her eyes at me, while Ava avoided eye contact.
“Like what?” I asked slowly.
