Anya’s POV
“And you feel you won’t be a danger to humans with your recent transformation? You take dumb to another level.” He spat rudely. His gaze made me feel worthless and stupid. I understood that after shifting, one had to take some time to be sure they were in total control of their wolf.
But I wasn’t asking to walk through those doors and leave for college at this exact moment, and I was almost sure he knew that wasn’t what I meant.
“What’s your name?” He asked, surprising me as I searched through my thoughts to see if I had told him my name at any point.
“Anya.”
‘Andrei is a demon’ is the one thought that runs through my mind as I watch his chest move up and down from his bouts of laughter.
“I’m guessing whoever named you had an idea you were going to grow up stupid.” He finally says and stops laughing. And despite all the hate I have taken all my life, nothing could come close to this.
