It would destroy my company but at least Charles' would be safe.
"I'm going to ask to have Charles' designs back" I added.
Mia's mouth fell open and the popcorn she had in there fell to the couch.
"Mia!" I whisper-yelled as I stared at the mess she'd made.
"Oh my god you're head over heels for this man!" She exclaimed, brushing down the pieces of popcorn on the couch.
"Independent Mia giving up something she's worked hard on to save a man?" She asked placing a hand over her chest and I chuckled
nervously as I nudged her.
"Stop being so dramatic," I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Do you think Charles will forgive you after this though?" She asked and I sighed.
"I honestly don't care right now I just want him not to suffer" I said as tears welled up in my eyes. I wondered what Charles was doing right now, trying to save his reputation maybe? I bet he wasn't asleep and it was my fault.
