Lex’s POV
"I said I am fine, Alpha,” Rowland gritted out. His voice edged with finality but I was not having any of it.
“If your body doesn’t have a tender bone then mine does and I am not gonna leave you here to die,” I commanded in my Alpha voice before picking up the weak Beta wolf in my arms and shifting back to my wolf so that he lay limp on my back.
The severed mate bond was breaking him.
“I a- am f- fine,” he spoke through clenched teeth again and tried to climb off my back but his arms and limbs gave out before he was helplessly spread out on my wolf’s back.
“You keep that up and I will make sure to tell Dante all your embarrassing stories especially when you had a wild crush on him,” I threatened and that stopped him from his rebellious acts. He loved Dante too much to let me make a fool out of him. Haha.
