I can’t wait to leave here, I hate it here with every fiber of my being.
I'm staring at the wall when Alpha Leo barges in. His timing? Impeccable as always. If there's a worst time to pop in, he's got a knack for nailing it.
"Great, just the person I wanted to see," I mutter under my breath, rolling my eyes so hard I'm worried they might get stuck that way.
"Mia, darling," he starts, and I can already tell by the way he says 'darling' like it's a favor to me, that I'm about to be monumentally unimpressed.
He paces around the room with the confidence of a peacock in mating season. "My birthday is coming up," he announces, as if I should mark it down as a national holiday.
"Oh, is it? Hadn't noticed," I reply, my voice dripping with sarcasm. I'm about as excited as a cat being serenaded by a vacuum cleaner.
He stops pacing and looks at me, his eyes narrowing. "I want to introduce you as my mate in front of everyone. Including Gabriel."
