His bodyguards quickly came forward, but he raised his palm, stopping them. I looked at the two men with him, and they were both looking at me, our head and his secretary in surprise. I couldn't blame them if they looked like that because I, myself, was surprised by what I did, but he is a pervert, and my hand moves on its own. It was my hand's fault and not mine. I winced when my side hit the table harder than I expected, and accidentally pushed the papers on the table when I tried to prevent my body from falling on the table, He quickly let go of my wrist, and I pushed myself to stand up and held my aching side. When I looked at him, I saw something pass in his eyes for a few seconds, but it was gone instantly and replaced by anger. "You like your work here, Miss Athena?" His voice is cold, and his eyes are drilling holes in my face. "Yes, but if the kind of you is my boss, I better resign," I replied, glaring at him. I won't let this asshole bully me. I made my way to the door but stopped when he spoke. "Do you know I could sue you for assault, Miss Athena? I have lots of witnesses who could testify about it." "Just because you are a billionaire, you think you can command me. Then you're mistaken." "Of course, I could, and I would right now. Picked up all the papers on the floor and resumed reading the files." He commanded and settled back on his seat. He sat there comfortably with his hands behind his head. "You cannot order me because I'm not your employee anymore." I resumed walking to the door, but the two bodyguards were there, and they brought me back in front of him despite my screaming in protest. "Alex!! He called, and one of the men with him came in instantly. "File the case against Miss Athena for assault." "Yes, Sir." He replied and walked to the door, but I grabbed his arm and stopped him. "You can't do that," I said, almost in tears. If I ever have a police record, It would be hard to find a new job; being an undergraduate is already hard, but with a police record, it would be more challenging, or I might not find a job at all. "Of course, I could." Mr. Devil Anderson said. Full of fury, I trudged back in front of him and picked up the folder, ready to strike it at him, but his voice stopped me. "Hit me again, and it would add to your case, and you might end up in prison." He calmly said, but I was so angry I smacked it on his head. "Go, send me to prison. You are an asshole, bastard, animal, coldhearted devil!!! Fuck you!!! I screamed, and my tears now rolled down my face because of anger. "Do you have any family, Miss Athena?" Follow what I want you to do, and your family will be safe. Now, pick up the papers!!! He screamed, hitting the table with his palm. I didn't move, and I stayed rooted to my spot. I hate this man. "Alex finds her family and makes sure... "I'll do it!!! I screamed in frustration. I crawled onto the floor and picked up all the folders and papers on the floor. "Now, resume where we stop," he said, smiling when I placed the folders back on the table. I wiped my tears and took a deep breath before I resumed reading the files. Luckily, the files were stapled in groups, or I would need to find out where every page belonged. After I finished reading each file, I gave it to him, and I was thankful he didn't let me show him where to sign and do it himself. After signing all the files, he ordered, "Fix yourself." He handed me a tissue, but I didn't accept it. "Alex!!! I wanted to beat the life out of him, but I held myself. He might hurt my brother if I disobey him. I grab the tissue from his hand and dry my tears. "See, it's just easy." He mocked. "Now, follow me." He ordered and went to the door. I followed silently behind him, and the two men with him looked pitifully at me. I ignored them and the devil. I badly wanted to push him off the stairs when we passed on one, but I held myself. I don't want to leave my brother alone in case I go to prison. He still doesn't know how to live on his own. He visits every department, and I follow him like a lost puppy. Sometimes, I wanted to pull a fistful of his hair and yank it back hard and never let go until I heard his painful scream, but that's only in my mind. All I could do was cuss at him, beat him, and even kill him in my mind because I had no power against him. I only met this man briefly, but he made my life hell. "Miss Athena, I want water." He said he was talking to some of the employees when we were in the finance department. One of them instantly rushed to the nearest fridge, took a water bottle, and handed it to him. "What is your name?" He asked the girl without taking the water from her outreach hand. "Ana, sir." She replied. "Miss Ana, did I stutter when I spoke?" "No, sir." "Okay, then why did you take the water for me? Are you deaf, or has your name suddenly changed to Athena?" "Sorry, sir." Ana apologized. I'm sure she wanted to vanish because of embarrassment, but she couldn't do anything about it and just accepted what this devil said. "Miss Athena, I want water." He said, and I quickly took the water from Ana, afraid that I would be next to be put in shame by this heartless guy. I handed it to him, but he just looked at it. I wondered what he wanted me to do. "Open it," he ordered. I took a deep breath to calm myself and twisted the lid of the bottle, but it was hard. "Let me, Miss." The Alex guy said, but the devil glared at him. "Let her be," he said. I wanted to smack his head with the water bottle but stopped myself. This guy got on my nerves, and I wanted him six feet under the ground. I tried to open it again, but it was hard. "You can do it." He grinned, enjoying my misery. I twisted the lid with full force but gasped when it opened, and the water spilled off the bottle like a fountain. I quickly stepped back and saw where most of the water had landed. Mr. Devil Anderson is now drenched from his chest down on his lap. Karma comes around. I wanted to burst into laughter but hold myself, or I'd find myself six feet under the ground instead of him.
