When Alcide walked into the house, he attended some urgent meetings but his attention was divided during that time. He kept on thinking about Serafine and no matter how hard he tried, he could not get her off his mind.
“Alpha, Alpha?” Alcide’s PA called a couple of times as Alcide sat down in his office, lost in thought with a lot of papers scattered on his table.
“Yes, you were saying something?” Alcide asked as he finally looked at his PA. He did not know what was wrong with him, he has been feeling somehow ever since he saw how hurt Serafine was when he commanded his guard to open the gates. Now, he was regretting ever giving his consent to that.
‘How is she feeling now?’ Alcide asked himself as he pondered the situation.
“Alpha, we need to send these documents out this evening. We need your signatures on them” His PA said again when he saw that he was not making a move to continue signing those papers
“Oh, give me 45 minutes, I would be done with it as soon as possible” Alcid
