Summer POV
“Let me out!” I slammed my boot against the trunk door but it was useless.
I heard them laugh and my heart dropped to my stomach.
“No,” I whispered and rolled to my side.
The car roared to life and backed out of the property. I was right my wolf was on the property. She was so close but yet so far.
My heart ached for Ezra. I knew a door couldn’t stop him not even if it were made of silver.
I stuffed a knife from the duffle bag into my boot, but it wasn’t strong enough to open the trunk. It was worth a shot, though. I pulled the knife out of my boot and searched for an opening. It was dark, so I was relying on luck.
“Damn it,” I muttered.
The car swerved and rocked violently until it came to a crushing halt. I fumbled the knife and sliced my palm as a result.
“Ouch.”
What happened?
I held still and listened for anything. Doors slammed shut and curses went flying. It wasn’t just Conner and Blake but I didn’t recognize the other voices.
“Hey!” I screamed.
They obviously crashed
