Regina smiles to herself as she busies herself in the kitchen trying to bake a cake while remembering distinctly how few minutes ago Maria had said she should await the King’s arrival.
Regina sighed thinking of replying yes to Maria’s question was the best decision she had ever taken in her life.
She doesn’t have time to brood over what had passed because Regina smells the king before she hears or sees him. The scent of burning honeysuckle and pine, overpowering the smell of the sweet dough still sticking to Regina’s fingers, a scent that could only mean one thing: King Mattel has just entered the first stage of his rut.
She busies herself by shoving the cake into the oven, checking the heat and setting a timer - anything to make her appear nonchalant, even as she feels the blood in her veins humming in excitement and her hole start to slick up.
