I slowly opened my eyes, blinking away the haze. My head pounded like a drum and my mouth felt dry and bitter. I tried sitting up, my eyes trying to focus as a wave of dizziness washed over me, forcing me back to the present.
The memories from yesterday came flushing in and my eyes widened and collided with a pair that I was too familiar with.
The instrument of my nightmares.
“Good thing you are awake. We have a lot to discuss.” He said cooly, as if he didn’t just appear and ruin my life once again.
My fists vibrated with anger.
“How dare you?” I muttered, my chest beating so loudly it hammered in my ears.
Zadyre rose his brow, his body not moving from the part of the desk he perched on. I recognized the room. The room I cried in for nights.
My anger knew no bounds.
“How dare you?” I roared angrily, tears springing into my eyes as I walked up to him, and all on its accord, my hand rose and collided with his cheek, the sound loud and deafening.
Zadyre's head jerked back, his e
