Lilac's P.O.V
As I stepped out of the soup house the following day on my way to school, I stopped short in surprise when I found Beta Luca, standing outside waiting for me.
There was a look on his face that I didn't quite understand and whatever it was, I knew that something was about to happen because Beta Luca hadn't given me any prior notice of being here. At that moment, I wished I could just rewind time and go back to sleep, because I wasn't ready for whatever was about to happen.
"Good morning, Lilac," he said politely.
"Beta Luca, this is such a pleasant surprise. I hope everything is alright?" I asked. I tried to keep my voice neutral, but my gut was churning with anxiety.
"Yes, everything is alright," he gave me a polite smile, before he let out a soft sigh. "But…you've been summoned to Alpha Krimson's house…now."
The very mention of that name had my heart racing and it was definitely not in a good way.
