I had been too tired and I had been thinking too much. The cottage's silence envelopes me like a blanket as I sit up and stretch the kinks out of my back. I was at peace for the first time since I had gotten Del Morino's mothers pack.
Though not much it was something. Something that made me temporarily forget the pressures of the outside world. I was beginning to breathe more easily and the tension I felt the previous day was gone
I heard footsteps outside the door and I waited.The silence was broken by a gentle but urgent knock. It was Marcel Del's maternal uncle.
“Good morning, are you awake?”
I blinked as I got out of bed and moved toward the door. Marcel was there when I opened it and he was still wearing a serious expression and my heart sank.
