I am out for a run with Ryan and Silas, checking all the weaker spots or more risky spots of our borders. After we were done, we walked back at normal speed, and I felt them looking at me.
‘Okay, why are you so disgustingly happy.’ Ryan asks in the open mindlink between the three of us.
‘I guess I can tell you.’ I say teasingly.
‘Just spit it out, buddy.’ Silas says and laughs.
‘Freya is pregnant.’ I tell them.
‘What, wow, when was she in heat?’ Ryan ask.
‘We are not entirely sure. But we remember one certain time that could have been that. We read that heat for an ice wolf is not the same because the moon wants the wolf to be available if needed.’ I tell them.
‘Jacob, that’s good. She will be spared for it. All the wolves I’ve met say that it is not fun at all.’ Silas says. And he has a good point.
‘I can't believe I say this, but Silas is right, she will be free of a lot of pain. Having your mate in heat sounds fun, but it really isn’t. So be happy.’ Ryan says.
