Are you going to tell Hayden about what the witch revealed to you?
Aiden’s words kept ringing in my head as I fiddled with my pen nervously. I hadn’t seen Hayden since last night because we returned late from the mountains and I decided to head home instead of going back to the laboratory before going home together like we usually did.
I didn’t know why I was reluctant to tell him about what had happened. Was it because I was starting to see things from Damon’s perspective when he said that there were things Hayden wouldn’t understand because he was human or was it because of something else entirely?
The truth was that I couldn’t place my finger on any particular assumption, everything felt right in my head but it made me feel bad about the whole thing as well.
Maybe it would be best to follow my instincts and keep what happened in the mountains between myself and Aiden. If I need to tell Hayden, I would be sure to do that but not now.
