I gave him listening ears so that I could hear what he had to say and so that I could be able to know if he was telling me the truth or if he was trying to hide something from me. I was glad that I had already made it clear to him that if he was hiding anything from me, he was just putting me into trouble and risking our lives.
"Just go ahead and tell me what exactly the issue is, because I really want to know why you will make such comments at the mall. If there is anything wrong, I think you should share it with someone so that you will be safe and so that you will get help from them if it is necessary," I said to him as I tried to persuade him to speak up about what exactly the issue was with him.
