WRAITH’S POV
I slipped a black suit over the long-sleeved shirt I was already wearing. A knock at the door pulled my attention.
I walked to the door, pulling it open, and there she stood, with a tray of food in her hands.
“You didn’t join us for dinner, I thought maybe I could bring you some food here.” She said,
I wasn’t exactly hungry, but I let her in.
She placed the tray on the table.
Tessa hadn’t stepped into my room since the… incident. I must’ve scared her off. Even now, she avoided looking around, keeping her eyes fixed on me instead.
“It’s time, right?” She questioned, and I nodded. “Do you really think it’s a good idea to meet them at their place? I mean, it just sounds… dangerous. What if they attack?”
That had been my earlier concern. But Rex believed they wouldn’t. He believed that meeting with them at their home was safer.
“You have nothing to worry about. We will be back in no time.” I assured her, but of course, that wasn’t enough to ease her worry.
“I—I just wanted yo
