Kelvin looked down at his feet. He'd been standing in front of the CEOs table since the miss he met in here left. Was it his dressing or the CEO was worried he'd spill what happened with the lady? It was all so confusing to think about so he just cleared his head.
Finally,after what seemed like eternity,the CEOs fingers stopped dancing on the keyboard. He raised his head, scanning Kelvin from head to toe with a weird smile. He looked like a girl who'd just been kissed by her crush.
“Sit.” Micheal said. Kelvin didn't hesitate to,his feet were hurting already from standing so much. “So,you're the new secretary?” Micheal asked, sitting back in his swivel chair.
“Obviously!” Kelvin screamed in his head.
“Yes sir. I just got employed yesterday.” Kelvin smiled. Micheal got lost in his eyes for a while.
Kelvin was getting nervous. His boss wasn't going to kill him,right?
“Sir,if you're worried I'll spill—”
“No,it's not about that.” Micheal clarified. “Tell me about yourself.”
“Is this another fucking interview?! I got the job yesterday already!” Kelvin's thoughts were going berserk.
“My name is kelvin cauli. I love fashion and that's why I want to work with you,Mr Beaufort.” Kelvin smiled.
When he was just a teenager,he used to cut pictures of this man off magazines and paste them on the wall. But all of that crashed when he heard his ‘crush’ was getting married. And besides,he has a new crush now.
The masked man's image flashed through his mind. He bit down his bottom lip unknowingly. Michael gulped hard at the sight,he could feel his little brother getting excited.
Remembering the office etiquette,he cleared his throat with a cough. “Umm…sorry. My feet hit the table a while ago and I was…I was trying to suppress the pain by biting down.” Kelvin lied.
Seeing the way he struggled with it made Micheal laugh. “Well,you're welcome to the Beaufort company. I'd like to treat you to dinner.”
“D–dinner?” Kelvin asked. He had a job to take care of at night. “Yes,will you be busy?” Michael raised a brow.
“Y–yes. I'll be busy.” Kelvin smiled. “Let's make it lunch then.” Micheal stood up. “Umm…okay.” Kelvin stood up and they left the office together.
In the restaurant opposite the company building. Kelvin and Micheal were alone in the VIP room. Kelvin looked at the menu,there were a lot of expensive dishes.
“Go ahead,pick something you like. Bills on me,” Micheal gave a warm smile. Kelvin frowned,”sir,if this is about what happened earlier,I promise not to tell anyone.” He hated feeling bribed.
“Can't a CEO treat his secretary to lunch anymore?” Micheal laughed. Kelvin's reasoning amused him.
Kelvin finally placed his order. He looked around the VIP room. Seeing the way his eyes darted around,Micheal knew he was starting to get bored.
“So…do you have any side hustles?” Micheal asked. Kelvin almost choked on his saliva. He couldn't possibly let his boss know he was a sexual worker with a different sexual orientation,could he?
“Umm…no.” He answered, quickly blocking his speech with a glass of water. Their order arrived in no time.
Kelvin didn't waste time digging in,he'd skipped breakfast to get to work early so he was really hungry.
Micheal was amused seeing the way he handled his food.
“Ummm,sorry.” Kelvin stopped eating, seeing the way his boss stared at him. “No,keep eating.” Micheal smiled.
“Do you…need anything else?” The waiter asked. “Ice cream,get him that.” Micheal said. The waiter threw suspicious glances at the duo before leaving.
Do men eat ice cream? She wondered.
Kelvin wiped his mouth when he was done. Micheal looked at the used napkin on the table with a hint of jealousy. He wishes kelvin had used his lips instead.
“You haven't eaten,boss.” Kelvin pointed out. “Boss? Call me kelvin.” Micheal frowned. He picked his cutlery and started eating.
Kelvin's eyes were fixed on his veiny hands as he handled the cutlery. He couldn't resist biting down his bottom lip again.
“So…do you have a partner?” Michael asked, raising his head. “Partner? No,I'm single.”Kelvin said.
“Here's the ice cream you ordered sir.” The waiter returned with a bowl of ice cream with extra toppings.
“Oh,that's my favorite flavor.” Kelvin said. Sensing that he must have spoken out of turn,he kept his head low.
“It's yours.” Micheal handed him the bowl. Kelvin didn't hesitate to fill his mouth with the delicious ice cream.
“My granny used to make this.” He raised his head. Micheal laughed. “ Did I say something weird?” Kelvin wondered.
“You've got ice cream on the tip of your nose.” Micheal said. Kelvin tried to rub it off but it seemed the more he tried,the worse it got.
Micheal walked over and knelt before him. “There.” The wiped the ice cream off his nose but his fingers brushed past his lips staining it with cream.
“And here.” Michael wiped the cream at the corner of his lip but this hand lingered longer than expected. Without hesitation,he sealed their lips together.
Kelvin sat there,stiff as a pole. Did Micheal Beaufort just kiss him?
