“Go.” Cain murmurs when I don’t move.
I look from him to the woman. It’s bad enough that everyone is staring at me but to be standing right in the middle of them will make it so much worse.
“Rosalie.” Aeron says quietly.
I sigh. I guess this is not being compliant.
I get to my feet. It feels like my legs are shaking, like I’m unsteady under the weight of all the attention bearing down on me.
I walk towards the woman, keeping my eyes fixed on her and ignoring as best I can, the Crimson Shadow Wolves barely metres away now.
She holds both her hands out, palms facing up.
“Take my hands.” She says. I hesitate and she lets out a small chuckle. “It won’t hurt, I promise.”
I look at her face frowning. Do I even have a choice?
I put my hands in hers and then stand there for a few seconds wondering what’s next.
She closes her eyes and suddenly mine are closed too as if an invisible force has shut them.
“No one can hear us.” She says in my head.
I’m not sure if I believe her. If I trust her.
