“…and then you want to fold it like that.” I say and Layla nods.
“I hope you’re paying attention, Dylan.” She says glancing at him. He’s not. He’s barely even looking.
“That’s the secret to keeping it light and airy.” I add, trying not to laugh at how annoyed Dylan looks right now.
I’ve been teaching Layla how to make a sweetbread cake. We’ve been in the Kitchens for just over an hour and the whole time Dylan has been glowering at the pair of us. Evidently, Cain has told him to keep Layla away, except she’s his mate, and she’s deliberately playing on that to wangle her way in to spending time with me.
