James gave a nod before leaving to prepare for whatever they had to do, while Dominic and I went inside.
As soon as we entered the mansion, we were accosted by Selene, who had an odd expression on her face right when she caught sight of us.
However, she quickly adjusted her expression and said, “Dominic, your father's secretary is here to visit.”
Dominic paused slightly, before asking, “What did he come for?”
“I have no idea, he's waiting inside.” She replied, giving me a fleeting sidelong glance that had me raising my brows.
Dominic said nothing and stepped forward. I followed him closely, curious as to what Matteo's secretary had to say. But, I knew that it definitely won't be anything good.
