Gabbie POV
Kade stepped between his Mother and me.
“Kade, you know she shouldn’t be here,” his mom waved him off.
“Mom, she’s my mate. We’re married, she has every right to be in my room.”
“Snooping as well?” she challenged.
Kade raised his brow at me. “What were you doing? Raiding my boxers?”
“I didn’t get the chance to.”
Kade’s Mom fumed at my response. I bit my tongue. No more talking.
“Kaden Sanders,” she growled.
Kade stepped forward and slipped his arm around his Mom’s shoulders and guided her out of the room. She complained and ranted until the door closed in her face. I was left to face Kade.
I flashed him my brightest smile.
He crossed his arms over his chest and tilted his head.
“Gabbie?”
“I got carried away, okay? I wanted to see your room and your baby pictures. Is that so bad?”
“No. I don’t like you being abused. She went too far. I haven’t lived in this room for years anyway. I have a freaking double bed for crying out loud.”
“I think it’s cute.”
“Want to try it out?” He
