Chapter 30
SILVER MOON PACK PALACE.
The afternoon sun was high and bright in the sky. Mina hung in the shadows, squeezed between two towering pillars at the mouth of the palace entrance.
A sweat bead rolled down her temple and she squinted her eyes, watching the procession at the front of the palace.
Amber’s father, Alpha Logan; Amber’s mate, Lucas; Gwen, the Silver Moon pack Luna; and a second man she couldn’t identify.
They conversed loudly, their fake laughter rising to her ears as they exchanged pleasantries.
“I apologize for arriving suddenly. I know I came earlier than planned,” Alpha Logan apologized calmly.
Mina almost scoffed. He wasn’t in the least bit sorry. They all knew why he had rushed down, he was here for Amber.
“It’s alright, you know you’re always welcome,” Luna Gwen replied warmly.
