Kayla didn't want to go home with Lucas. She knew that one look and one kiss, and she would start doubting her senses and her suspicions. The last thing she wanted was to be sidetracked from her mission of finding out what was behind that handsome scarred face and beautiful eyes.
She had called her mother after lunch to confirm she was coming to pick her up. Mitchel was beginning to relax since Lucas had started dropping her off.
