Cold to the bone. I rubbed my hands against my legs, trying to get feeling back into them. At least the bleeding has stopped. The gash in my right leg wasn’t all that serious. I’ve had worse injuries. Everything else was intact. I didn’t lose my weapons at least.
I had to move soon. The putrid stench from the sewer I could handle, but the cold and damp seeped into my joints where I sat perched on a ledge above the muck that flowed underneath. He would never suspect that I was right there under his nose.
Taking out my cellphone, I opened the tracking application. Three green dots. Those blinking dots were my children. Erik was alive by some miracle. Foolish boy! He shouldn’t have tried to stop me. But I knew all along that he would do something so reckless to save Erina. She was like her mother, had that effect on men. They need to protect her, covet her. That was why she was perfect for my plan. I knew the Lycan could never resist her. Just like he couldn’t resist Victoria.
