Michael's POV
"Boss?" Ruby called, looking confused and scared. Freya had actually told me about her loyalty to Ambrose and her being the spy. But then, I never expected the truth to come out so soon.
"Oh, Ruby. Here you are. So tell me, what have you found out about Michael's cunning move?" Ambrose asked, his words purposely putting it in a way to hurt my feelings, but it wasn't new. But then, to think Ambrose no longer hid his true intentions and self was what bothered me. I had kept my silence for a month, not because I was stupid, as I couldn't stop myself from strategizing. But now, I was determined to fight for what I have.
"Sir?" Ruby asked in fear, it was obvious she was so uncomfortable and uneasy. For a while, I wanted to think that she was probably threatened, just like Jason. But then, that was going to be a blatant lie. Up until this moment, Ruby had always been happy, having no guilt even while she stabbed me from behind.
