I spent the past week avoiding that girl and witch as much as possible. I didn't eat with my pack or wonder too far from my bedroom or office. Lindsey took care of anything I needed so it wasn't making me slack much in my duties. She also reported any issues among my members as well.
They all feared me, but loved Lindsey. Oddly, the Alpha female was fearing me less and less too. I could see her determination to please me and she knew I hated that others quivered in fear around me. I wanted to find solace in her, but I couldn't. Despite avoiding my mate and the mother of my child, I could smell them all through the house.
Her arousal hit me like a strong wave and I growled ferociously at Lindsey who was updating on pack business. I mind-linked Jax to get information from Star before I locked the little witch in a cell. He thought I was currently with the girl and came rushing to me.
