No, it won’t be the same. There will still be grief when we wake up tomorrow morning and he isn’t there. When our pups are born without him standing next to me. When we have to discipline the pups, or have a fight with each other, or take down CCS. When our pups say their first words, or have their first day at school, or find their own mates.
No, it won’t be the same. But at least we will see him. We can hold him. We can hear his voice and see his smile again, not just in our memories.
