The following morning Maestro was nowhere in sight on the large bed much to her relief, she curled on the bed, Swollen eyes and patched lips. She did not sleep even a blink as she had nightmares about dead bodies and guns pointed toward her.
She trembled so much she thought she had caught a fever.
She wondered if Sir Derinem had granted her request; it was apparent Maestro had gone to see him that morning, and he was also dressed to go out.
She second-guessed that Maestro wasn't going to be around. It turned out she was right.
But now, she only wanted to know if her request had reached Sir Derinem. She wore a simple, white cotton gown appreciating the coverage after feeling almost naked the night before. She wore her flip-flops and wadded out of the room.
