His treatment of Allysia didn't surprise her. She expected it and maybe even yearned for it. She was one of his cagnas. His favorite one, at that. And also, she was no ordinary person, a minister's daughter, and when he needed it, she used her connections to aid him.
But one thing he drew the line on was coming to see him when she wasn't called. Damon wasn't going to let her off the hook so quickly.
She tried to touch him again as if her whole life depended on it, but he pushed her away.
"Why are you acting so cold towards me? Or don't you miss me?"
He ignored her question and asked, "You haven't told me what you are doing here."
"Since you didn't want to come to me, I decided to come to you." she strolled past him, frustrated, her eyes falling on Maya, who didn't want to be there at that moment.
