Patient’s room, hospital.

In the corridor full of a strong odor of disinfectant, bursts of affectionate chuckling could still be heard.

Right about to knock on the door, Tang Mengyu was surprised to hear the conversation coming from inside of the room. Her face was clouded with doubt.

These voices, this conversation.

Although falling apart from the inside, Tang Mengyu still raised her trembling hand slowly. In her last hope, she pushed the door open, bit by bit.

Hearing the squeaking sound of the door opening, a man and a woman took a pause from their lover’s talk and intimate hugging, and both looked up at the doorway at the same time.

All of a sudden, all three of them were dumbfounded.

The astonishment in Tang Mengyu’s eyes slowly turned into anger and shame, little by little…

These two lovers in front of her were none other than her boyfriend Zhou Shaohui and her sister Tang Mengxue.

For a moment, Tang Mengyu felt that all of her strength was being pulled away. She couldn’t even move her legs and leave the room. Her feet were stapled to the ground, and she could hardly move at all.

“What… what are you two doing?” Shocked and astonished, Tang Mengyu couldn’t even finish a full sentence.

The Thermo container in her hand slipped away and rolled down, making a huge noise. The chicken soup inside the container spilled all over.

She had spent five hours at home cooking chicken soup for Zhou Shaohui because he had been hospitalized for a stomach illness. And now he just let her watch this free drama show?

Comparing to her shock, Zhou Shaohui and Tang Mengxue seemed much calmer. They looked at each other and stood up from the sofa together. As if nothing had happened, they started to tidy up their messy clothes casually.

Zhou Shaohui lifted up his hand and pulled Tang Mengxue into his arms. He raised his eyebrow at Tang Mengyu, not giving a damn, and shrugged his shoulders. “Mengyu, now that you have seen us, Mengxue and I don’t want to keep this from you anymore. Mengxue is the one that I love. Let’s break up.”

“Zhou Shaohui, have you gone insane?”

Tang Mengyu instantly burst into rage. She stared angrily at this shameless guy standing in front of her, rebuking, “Do you have any idea that Mengxue is my sister! How could you deceive my sister like this and me?”

Tang Mengxue sneered scornfully, “Come on, my good sister. Shaohui never lied to me. Shaohui and I are true love!”

With these words, she looked affectionately at Zhou Shaohui. Zhou Shaohui went a step further, picked up her hand, and pressed his lips on it lovingly.

“Shut up!” Mengyu was provoked. Pointing at Tang Mengxue, her clear, unclouded eyes were now filled with redness. “Mengxue, you have your own fiancé Lu Zhengnan! Even if you are not afraid to make our Tang family lose face, shouldn’t you at least care about the Lu family’s reputation?”

“Haha!” Tang Mengxue laughed as if she had heard the funniest joke ever in the whole world. She lifted her head up and laughed arrogantly. Sneering at her, she curled up her lips in disdain, “You really think I will marry a man that is both handicapped and blind?”

Rumor has it that Lu Zhengnan, the eldest son in the Lu family, although handsome, was blind and handicapped… Imagine who would be willing to marry a man like that?

Tang Mengyu gave a soft “huh” and continued speaking, “That was grandfather Lu’s decision for you. Weren’t you quite looking forward to marrying him? Just because Lu Zhengnan is handicapped now, you won’t marry him anymore? How despicable of you!”

Tang Mengxue sneered coldly, “Did you know? Grandfather Lu wanted you to marry him, not me. And it was your name that was written on the marriage contract. I knew that he was handsome, so I changed your name to mine. But who would expect that later he would become handicapped…?”

Tang Mengyu’s eyes instantly widened upon hearing this. “Mengxue, how could you make up such a lie just to be with this scumbag?”

“If you don’t believe me, just go home and ask mother and father yourself!” Tang Mengxue had no fear at all. “At first, I wanted to bear the consequence of my own acts and marry that blind man as a mistake anyway. But after meeting Shaohui… I’ve come to realize that it is him that I love!”

As she spoke, she pulled Shaohui’s arms around her and snuggled up to him intimately.

“You…” Tang Mengyu clenched her delicate fist tightly. Her face was swollen and red because of her anger at Tang Mengxue.

Although the two sisters were not related by blood, they grew up together since they were little.

Normally, even though her little sister was arrogant and domineering, she would just be her older, wiser sister. However, she could never have imagined that her sister would ever pull such an indecent trick!

Twenty years of sisterhood, and yet it was not even worth more than a man?

“Shameless!” Tang Mengyu’s eyes had turned burning red due to anger, but she held back her tears. She cursed out Tang Mengxue’s name from the slit of her teeth and pointed her index finger at Zhou Shaohui. “You scumbag, you will regret this! You definitely will!”

Tang Mengyu ran out. After just a few steps, a wheelchair appeared suddenly in front of her at the corner.

“Miss Tang, please wait.” There came a pleasant, mellow low voice. The man in the wheelchair reached out his hand and stopped her from going away.

Tang Mengyu paused her footsteps and lowered her eyes.

The man in the wheelchair was dressed in a white suit. His pleasant-looking face had sharp angles like those from a sculpture, clearly outlined, deep, and handsome.

But his eyes appeared dim. Apparently, he was blind.

“Lu, brother Lu?” Tang Mengyu called him, shocked.

This blind yet lively man in the wheelchair was exactly her sister’s fiancé, the eldest grandson of the wealthiest Lu family, Lu Zhengnan.

Lu Zhengnan controlled his wheelchair and advanced a step forward. He raised his eyebrow and smiled at Tang Mengyu, “Would you be interested if I ask you to marry me?”

“Uh?”

Tang Mengyu hesitated, but soon she realized that Lu Zhengnan probably had already known about the affair between Zhou Shaohui and Tang Mengxue!

Sensing her hesitation, the man softly opened his thin lips, “Since we both have been betrayed, why don’t we make do with it, comfort each other and get married!”

Although his eyes couldn’t see anything, the smile on the man’s face was alive and bright. You couldn’t see on him a single trace of annoyance from being betrayed. Rather, he seemed quite happy that it happened.

“Why, you don’t want to marry a handicapped and blind loser like me, either?”

“No, no, no!” Tang Mengyu shook her head immediately, “It’s just all too sudden…”

Lu Zhengnan raised his arm and took her hand with no hesitation. Slightly using his strength, he pulled Tang Mengyu right into his arms and made her sit on his laps. He whispered, and his warm breath blew right into her ear. “Marry me! With the name and status of Mrs. Lu, you can call for the wind and ask for the rain. You will be able to do anything you want and abuse anyone as you like!”

The fresh, pleasant smell of the man suddenly swept over her. Tang Mengyu shuddered as if her entire body had been electrically shocked. She instinctively tried to push Lu Zhengnan away, but her shoulders were tightly held, and she was forced in his arms even more firmly.

His thin lips curled up into a sly smile. The man pressed his lips close to her and whispered in a low voice, “Relax! It’s just going to be a contract marriage!”

“I!” Tang Mengyu pushed hard to get away from him, struggling, “I need to think about it!”
