Extra # 5

"Xavier! Stop running!" I yell as I chase after my son. He turned two last week and thinks he's in charge of everything now. He gets to tell Jaden and I when his bedtime is and when he thinks he should take a bath. He's also starting to say no to the clothes we try to change him into to.  

"Not hungry Daddy!" He squeals as he runs around the couch.  

"It's dinnertime bud," I tell him, "you don't want mommy upset because you won't eat her food." He stops running and looks at the doorway to the dining room. He glances at me before he sprints to the table and climbs up on to his booster seat. I roll my eyes as he smiles at his mom, who walks in with a bowl of spaghetti.  

"Alec, can you get the parmesan?" She asks as she sets the bowl on the table. I walk past her, kissing her cheek, before I get into the kitchen. I bring it back out and she smiles. "Thank you. Now sit so we can eat."
