8. Invite Her.

"What are you doing here at this time of an hour?" she asked putting the red roses on the vase.

Turning to him she just realised that he was too close when she bumped into him.

Holding her waist and pulling her closer, he tucked the strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Baby, I can't sleep without you..." his whispers were low and arousing.

She blushed and he lifted her chin to meet her eyes and spoke, "Is this possible if I spend the night with you?"

She didn't say anything when an idea popped up his mind and he immediately blurted out, "Come with me."

"Where?" she asked as he held her hand and was about to twist the doorknob when the voice of an old lady came through the door who was pushing the door.

Pidge with wide eyes quickly locked the door, silently and hushed him up.

"Pidge? Pidge? Are you in there? What is that noise?" the old lady asked knocking the door.

"Yea...yea. It's me...I'm here, Ms Green."

The answer Pidge gave was reluctant. She put her hands on his mouth when he threatened to speak up.

Dylan was enjoying it, he was deliberately teasing the girl.

"Let me in..." said the old lady. "Who are you with?"

"I'm with no one...just played some music and going for a shower. I, kind of can not open the door, Ms Green, as I'm without clothes."

As soon as Pidge said this, both of Dylan's eyebrows were raised in astonishment.

He held her waist gently and pulled her close.

The fresh smell of peppermint mixed with gin hit her nose and she looks him in the eyes. The grip on his mouth became loose.

"I wanna see you without clothes," his whispers were low yet it made her feel like she was easily aroused.

The old lady answered, "Okay...go to sleep, it's late."

Pidge and Dylan heard the sound of steps fading away and the lady was gone.

Sighing deeply Pidge withdrew her hand and said in a hushed tone, "What do you think you are doing?"

"I'm making you sneak away with me," he simply answered.

Dylan walked to the window as he looked down and spoke, "Can you climb, Pidge?"

She was quiet just staring at him when he continued, "Please don't say, you cant."

"People in Anchorage climbs say better than people living elsewhere."

"Yes, I can climb," folding her hands to her chest she stepped forward confidently.

"Good..." he made an impressing face.

Pidge was feeling terrified but she did not bother to look down.

All the time, Dylan whispered to her that she will be alright and that he will catch her if she falls but she kept on mumbling something under her breath.

Reaching down she was only two steps away from the ground when she slipped and he caught her.

Pidge fell right in his arms and he carried her bridal style...eye to eye.

As if he was her prince charming...a knight in shining armour.

"It doesn't even happen," she blurted out, all of a sudden.

"Yea, I never saw such afraid person..." he said when her brows go knitted and she started speaking, "First of all, I never tried this. Secondly, what if I fell from the height? Thirdly, you..."

Pidge was immediately interrupted by him saying, "Firstly, if you won't try you won't know. Secondly, I told you I will catch you and I did...thirdly, you look cute when you are annoyed."

She was speechless in his arms and he carried her to his car, opened the door of the passenger seat and made her sit gently and closed it again.

After he got seated to the driver's seat he spoke, "Now, if all your doubts are clear...shall we go?"

"But where?" asked her.

"The place I like..." was his reply.

The car stopped on the empty surroundings...just a cliff a bit far from the car.

Stars shone as sugar spilt over black marble, glistening in the sun. The night sky was such a welcome sight, appearing like magic at each sunset, promising to return as she faded in dawn's first light.

Pidge was amazed... She has never seen such a beautiful sight.

Although Pidge was born in Alaska she never had time to explore the parts.

The last thing she remembers exploring was the Portage Glacier...the memories were faded enough.

She had to bury herself in studies and work because she has no one by her side.

Stars light the sky like snowflakes in the night, yet appear still, like an old photograph.

Pidge smiles, feeling the wind blew her hair into a tousled mane.

"Dylan...this is so beautiful..." she spoke amazed.

"Come on... let's get you to sit," he walked towards her and hold her in his arms as he made her sit on the hood of the car.

He then leaned back on the main glass of the car with her.

They were watching stars with the windy night.

The weather was too cold but they were all covered.

Pidge was beyond happy.

"This is..." she was interrupted by him saying, "Beautiful...you are so beautiful."

Her pink cheeks took the colour to crimson one.

"Why are you shy in front of me?" he asked in hushed tones.

"I'm not shy..." she answered back.

"You are..." He argued.

"No!"

"Yes!" he gave a nod certainly.

"Tell me you don't love me..." he spoke making her confuse when her only reply was, "No..."

"Means you do love me..." his grin was like he won some kind of a prize bond.

"I didn't mean that..." she quickly clarified.

"Its alright, Pidge. I love you and you will too."

"I won't force you...you may take your time," he said.

The night went pretty romantic for them. They sometimes hold hands, other times he kissed her cheeks.

Dylan was certain that she will eventually fell for him.

Next morning Dylan, first, dropped her on the bakery and then went to his stepmother.

Pidge buried herself on baking and could not forget about Dylan.

He made her feel like no one else ever did...

Dylan wasn't any ordinary guy who lusts for her body but he was the master in romance.

He made her feel like she is not only important but an independent woman which he admired.

Last night was spent with some painful and beautiful childhood memories.

He told her everything about his life yet she did the same.

Both of them were orphans but Dylan had a loving stepmother.

"Mrs Willow is here!" Winter quickly informed her before rushing out of the kitchen.

Pidge walked out serving the usual cup of coffee and the favourite cheesecake of Mrs Willow.

Next to her was sitting a handsome man, his grins were enough to make her stunned.

"Don't you serve me your delicious cheesecake, Pidge?" his voice low yet deep.

She walked in and came back after five minutes serving the cheesecake and coffee to the son of the boss.

"I didn't know you were coming, sir."

As soon as she placed the tray in front of the man, she winked seductively at him.

He was shocked by her bold behaviour.

Sometimes this girl can be on her best side.

While they were working and Dylan along with his mother enjoyed the coffee and cheesecake, he spoke, "Mm...mother. I was thinking if Pidge and the girls would help us with the Christmas party."

Hearing this, both of her eyes widened with astonishment.

Mrs Willow was quiet for a moment then give this suggestion a thought.

"Of course..."

"All of you are invited to our Christmas party this Saturday..." Mrs Willow spoke pleasantly.
