Chapter 38: Her Fault

Eleanor stared at her unconscious mother with fright and shock. Silence had gripped the room while Eleanor’s brain tried to process what was going on. The intensity of the situation put a huge toll on her mind and played a major role in the shock that she was experiencing.

She ran towards her mother in hopes of waking her up. However no matter how hard she would try to shake her arms, there was no movement… not even the slightest that awoke in her body. This concerned Eleanor… she knew that she did not have the ability to help her anymore.

“Mommy, please stay with me…” she cried out before arising from the floor. After taking a final look of Eliza, she took off.

With great speed, she ran towards the telephone of her home and picked the handset of the landline.
