Back then, Arthur met with the two of them with this weird theory and proposition. Arthur knew back then that he was being used as a spy. Arthur had said before, "I've been waking up with no recollection of anything whatsoever and at first, I thought it was just some stupid dream phase but then, I wound smell different scents that I couldn't find anywhere."
