Chapter Twenty-Seven – Breaking Vlad's invisible barriers

Nicolas had men bring large tents to camp out until they could figure out where Alexi was. Like in war, the men created a base tent with tables and maps of the area. Alexander marked on the map where the Witches deciphered the largest amount of magic residue. Ares searched with his warrior comrades in the surrounding woods and the surrounding open field areas, switching into their wolf forms to have a better sense of smell. Nicolas's sister Sarah brought several pieces of Alexis' clothing so the trackers can trace Alexis's scent. Nicolas took command over operations with Alexander, and Sarah kept up the morale of the men setting up a tent for food, water, and changes of clothing.
