Chapter 18

"Do you remember that time when I played at my best friend's house, dad?" Daeira asked  while swinging her hands while walking with his dad towards that light. He said it’s gonna be comfortable in there.

"Of course darling," he said while not sparing her a glance. Daeira looked up to him and  saw something on his face. Black eyes. Her dad shared with her an amber one. Not black.

"Dad? Do you remember the name of our dog who bit you?" she asked while not taking her  eyes off his blank face before he smiled to her.

"Can't really remember that dog dear but it bit me so painfully." he said while Daeira nodded  in response while slowing down her pace, still staring at her dad in a smiling face. He turned  to her when she stopped walking. Instead she began stepping back, grinning to him.

"What are you doing darling? Do you want to play?" he asked pleasantly.<
