4 -Barely Two Days!

Alex's POV;

I look down at my feet as I shut the door in thought. Just in a corner of my dining room, is a small box containing some of Damon's things.

Some he left behind on days we bunked here, or gifts he gave me. I well could have sent them through his mother, but I want to see him. It's been barely two days since the court gave its final order, and there's already someone trying to get close to him. And he's going to allow that!?

I rush upstairs to my room, grab an ash hood, throw it on, over the singlet and bum shorts I'm in. I grab my car keys, rush downstairs, grab the box in annoyance, get to my car after shutting my house door, and begin my journey to Damon's house.

Third Person's Narrative ;

Alex gets to Damon's house and walks in with full confidence. Ignoring the gaze of the workers around. They are well aware of the drama that the family has been tackling these last months.

Alex is beautiful, and she knows she is. She keeps her pace, steady and majestic as she climbs up the stairs. She begins to what was once she and Damon's bedroom but freezes when she sees a beautiful blonde lady walking out of it. The lady spots Alex and knows right away who she is.

Ava catwalks to Alex, and greets her with a grand smile.

"Good morning, Alex. "

Alex knows this is Ava. Damon's assistant, but it shocks her to see her here. Before now, Ava has never been to their house, but how convenient is it that the second day after the final hearing of her divorce from Damon, his female assistant is here, and that too, in Damon's room.

"Morning. "Alex greets coldly.

Before now, Ava referred to Alex, as Mrs. Hudson, but now she called her by her first name. Alex doesn't like it, but she can't argue.

" Are you here to see Mr. Damon? He's quite busy, and I don't think he'd want any visitors now. "Ava says to Alex, and Alex looks into Ava's eyes. Eyes so brown, they are almost black. She digs into those eyes, and says to Ava,

"You may be his assistant at work, but not here. Understand? "She questions at the end, and Ava's left eye twitches before she smiles and nods. She steps aside and proceeds to where she was going before she saw Alex. Leaving Alex to glare at her perfect figure from behind.

Alex marches to Damon's room, and opens the door in annoyance, without knocking.

"Ava, pass me the red pen in the first drawer beside the bed. "Damon calls on hearing the door, without looking up.

Alex stares at Damon through the glass doors. His glasses sitting on his nose, and his hair falling over his eyes. His full attention on the papers before him.

She walks to where Damon instructed and pulls out a red pen. She moves into the work section of the room and stands before him. Pointing the pen at him.

Damon takes hold of the pen, but unknowingly grabs one of Alex's fingers. Alex doesn't let the pen go as Damon is about to thank her.

"Thank... "Damon begins but stops when he notices the pen isn't being let go. He looks up, and his gaze is met by smooth, fleshy thighs. He throws his gaze up in confusion, as Ava was in blue jeans and a black shirt. Not shorts.

His heart flies out when his gaze lands on Alex's flawless face, and he stands to his feet, as he takes off his glasses.

"You? "He questions in confusion, and Alex looks away.

"What are you doing here? "He questions with slight anger.

"To give these back to you. "She replies looking away and holding out the cartoon box to him.

"You could have given it to any of the workers or even my assistant who I'm sure you met on your way here.

What makes you think you can come into my personal space like this!? "Damon yells in anger, and Alex glares at him.

" Personal space!? I'm not allowed here, but that skinny assistant of yours is!? "Alex screams. Unintentionally letting out a small piece of her jealousy.

" She's my assistant. She's important. Not an ex-wife who has ended everything between us! "Damon replies.

" In case you've forgotten, you haven't signed those papers yet. So, it's not official.

So, till it is, I demand you respect me! "Alex replies coldly.

" The fuck do you think you are? You're so full of yourself.

You want me to respect you when you couldn't even respect our marriage!? "Damon screams in anger.

"I have my reasons for ending our marriage. I expected a grown man like you to be mature, and not act like a cry baby about it! "Alex retorts.

" You're just a self-centered bitch! "Damon screams in frustration, as he walks past Alex angrily to the bedroom part of the room.

" And you're just a man of little morals! It's not even a week since our last hearing, and you already have that elf running around the house! "Alex screams.

" Why does it bug you so much!? "Damon questions and Alex glares at him.

" Cause it makes me wonder just how faithful you were when we were still together. "Alex replies, and Damon scoffs.

" Maybe you won't have to wonder if you didn't mess things up between us! "Damon screams.

Just then, there's a knock on the door, and Alex calls in irritation;

" Who is it!? "

Ava opens the door and pops her head in.

" Mr. Damon is... Everything okay, I heard some noise. "Ava says timidly.

" Seriously, this is the best you can do? " Alex questions Damon in irritation while pointing at Ava.

Her statement angers Damon further.

"Get out of here Ava! I'd call you when there's need. Go home! "Damon screams at Ava, and the frightened lady rushes into the room, grabs her bag from the cupboard, and runs back out.

This is what she was trying to avoid by stopping Alex from going in, but now...

"Alex, get out of my house! " Damon screams once Ava is gone,

"Fine! It's not half the home it used to be anyways. Enjoy your brothel! "Alex replies in anger and marches out of the room.

Damon screams in annoyance once he's sure Alex is far enough, and he throws a heavy kick to the foot of his bed.
