A dream? Yes, it was all a dream. I could feel a hand on my forehead, a gentle contact, warm and careful. I felt a pain when the soft warmth dissolved and the comfort was gone. My body was on fire and an ache all over my body. I felt the heat, cold, the pain burning and deep bone aches.

Then I felt my body shaking. If was a convulsive shivering. In my unconscious state, I felt strong arms pinning me down to keep me in place. A deep voice, so soft and soothing pleaded with me to not give up.

“Call the Theta!” Another baritone voice barked out orders.

“Avery..please..stay with me.” The first voice pleaded.
