Chapter 3

Mercedes point of view 

"what.. how... how.  can you be pregnant "I half yelled at hope who look really pale like we was sick or something. 

"You heard me Mercedes am pregnant and the father of my child is that stupid bastard David "she spat venomously and I couldn't help but gasped. how... how is this possible 

how can she be pregnant for a powerful original like David. I gulped down trying to digest all she had said but hell it was heavy for me to take it all in

" so have you given him the news "I ask hopping for any positive answer and she huffed and face palm her face. 

" I.. I..  did tell him and... and.. he doesn't want the baby he asked me to get rid of it "she said soberly. what do you expect from someone like him, a heartless monster that cares for no one aside for himself. 

"it's okay girlfriend, so have you done it "I ask and she shrug 

" he took me to Dr Nile and she did as told but asked him to bring me back to her for confirmation " she said and just then someone knocked on the door 

"expecting someone " she ask and I shook my head negative. I open the door and they stood Mr Kenny who smile a little 

"am here for fetch madam, my boss wants to see her" he said and I took my eyes to the carriage which was packed across the road. 

"hope... 

"I heard him no need Mercedes, I will see you later " she said and peek my cheek before joining Kenny and they both walked into the carriage which kicked off almost immediately. 

"es timulatu laxavaza "I whispered and I shape shifted into an eagle, i flew right behind the carriage. 

The carriage left chance  city deep into the woods and finally it came to a rest in front of a well decorated mansion which I presume most be Dr Nile mansion. 

she's well known across the world as one of the greatest physicians, she's a vampire tho half blood and am sure she's the only half vampire half human in existence. 

I shifted back to my human form and stood far away from the mansion 

"I need to get closer "I whispered and place my palm on the ground. 

"let the tress be my ears and the eyes of men be my eyes. "I sang lowly and instantly I could now hear random voices and I could see a lot. 

I just needed to connect with right person and finally i did, I could see Dr Nile starring at Dave who had a frown on his face. 

"what the hell do you mean the fetus is still there "he scowled glaring hard Dr Nile who wasn't affected by his cold stares. 

" what do you mean huh,  you're the best physician on earth so find a way to fix this "he bark and she sigh. 

" it isn't easy Dave things are complicated. if I should try flushing her system again she's gonna die " she snap, he exhaled heavily then shifted his gaze to hope who was lying on a bed starring at them hopelessly with out altering a word... 

" dammit "he growled and walk out banging the door hard. I quickly broke my spell and shape shifted  into an eagle and flew off speedily, a lot of questions were running my head. why couldn't the fetus be flushed out

I transformed  back to my human form as soon as I landed at the cemetery. 

"what brings you here " elder Loki ask starring at me with his dark eyes,   his hands were crossed at the top of his snake walking stick 

"am here to see the high witch "I requested and he arched his brows then nodded  "follow me " he said walk ahead. he lead me into the church and there sat Olivia painting   something on her drawing board. 

"why are you here Mercedes "she ask... 

Lenny point of view 

"okay let me get something right here, she's pregnant and the baby in her can't be flushed out while there is still time " asked starring at the girl, I was  irritated by her timid behaviour. her head was bow like she was scared or something 

Dave was seated at an arm chair with arms folded while Dianna  pissed to and fro trying to find any possible solution. Jordan was the only one who look absent minded among us all

" okay this is bad what are we gonna do now " Dianna said worriedly 

" just kill the girl " I cut in and she pause and gave me a hard glare 

"idiot "she curse and I rolled my eyes 

" Dave don't you have any thing to say "I ask and he huff 

"what can I say it seems am soon to be a father quit ironic isn't it. " he spat "hey stop standing there like that go have a seat " i said and she flinched a little the  took her gaze up to me 

" hummm "she hummed and I hissed 

"to seat down " I snap and she walked to the corner and took a seat.

  " look guys you all are wasting my time, what does  David shit has to do with me "Jordan finally spoke up and Dave gave him an odd look which he shrug off 

" I gat a lot to handle so bye "he said and whoosh out of sight before anyone could stop him. 

"he's really odd "I mumbled  "you are the same  " Dave chirped in... 

Mercedes point of view 

"she's pregnant for an original,  wow quit impressive. "she said and close her eyes and whispered some word inaudible to our hearing. wild wind circle around us 

elder Loki stood calmly starring at her and soon he also started whispering something too. his iris turned white 

" the child of the prophecy,  bring the girl to the witches alter "he said and his eyes returned back to normal and Olivia opened her eyes too. a wicked smile played on her lips and she turn to me 

" bring the girl to me by this time tomorrow " she said and I gasped 

" but.. but.  are you gonna hurt her "I asked scared and she scoff 

" I owe you no expiation child, do ask told " she spat   " I.. I can't "I stammered and she wave her hand and an invisible force slap me away and i collided hard on the wall 

"ouch  ohhhhhh "I wince,hot sensation like fire was burning inside my head 

"rgrahhhhhhhhhhhh "I scream out loud holding my head and just then blood rolled out of my nostrils.  " I can cook your brain right here and now, don't test me child" she said   "please make it stop.. I... I.. will bring her to you "I scream out in tears and she huff and the pain immediately  stopped and I exhales heavily. 

" let me see your palm " elder Loki demanded 

"why "I asked back confused but he shot me a dead glare and I quickly stretched my left palm to him. 

"ouch "I shriek out when he slice my palm unannounced   " this dagger is made from the venom of a black mamba and a little amount of dark magic. The wound on your palm has been poisoned and you have till sundown tomorrow to bring the girl to us or you die "he said and my blood went cold. gush now I think coming here was a bad idea,  I can't believe I was such a fool to have come report my discovery to the high witch. 

" get going "she said and i hummed and quirky ran out.

I walked slowly down the cold streets of chance City lost in thought on how I was gonna betray best friend. 

"hey pretty " I heard a husky voice and I stopped at my track and look up at the owner of the voice and their stood 9 vampires all smiling seductively at me. I could see the heat of lust all around them 

"stay away from me "I said icily and they all laugh 

"you shouldn't be walking all alone at this late hours. too bad we can't let you go with out testing your cherry and also feed from you " one of the vampire who was bald said grinning and I gulped down.  " stay away from me all of you "I snap and move back, 

 in a single movement one of them pinned me to an iron pole close to the road and I wince a little in pain. 

" You smell good I wonder how your cherry will test "the vampire pinning me said trilling his finger down to my breast . 

he slide his hand under my short Skippy  gown, I shiver when I felt his palm on my bare thigh 

"et milaxacva balmana "I chanted   "agrahhhhhhhhh bitch " they all scream holding their head. "what.... what..ahhahhhhhhhhhhh " the one who was pinning me early scream even more and so was the others. I quickly shape shifted into a bat and flew off abandoning them behind. 

I flew into my room and tea formed back to my human form 

"gush that was close " I whispered and slump on the bed,  I wonder how hope is taking all this and now am gonna be part of her problem.  fuck me

"rise and shine sweet heart "I heard hope loud voice and I open my eyes slowly but shut them due to how bright the room was.  "gush it's morning "I mumble 

"it sure is, now wake up "she snap and i sluggishly sat up, she jumped on the bed giggling 

"have you forgotten what today is " she giggled 

" what "I asked bare keeping my eyes from closing. she spank my hear lightly 

"ouch "I wince a man she laugh  " today is the high clouds  day, the day for woman "she said happily and I gasped and jolted off my bed. 

"oh my good woman's days oh my... oh my  I totally forgot "I said and quickly rushed into the bathroom. 

You might be wondering what high cloud day means right, years ago even before i was born something happened, something so memorable. 

years ago woman were being maltreated by men, they were stepped on an used as slaves, sex slaves and also play thing. but everything changed when a lady call Claudia raised a

 revolution to set all woman free from men,  after much war waged by Claudia and her woman armies the men were subdued but she lost her life. Lenny Adams in memory of lady Claudia,  made every 20th of August woman's Day also known as High cloud.  today is the day we all acknowledge a great woman like lady Claudia....
