Chapter 29: The Start of Healing Scars

"Beep, Beep, Beep" I quickly turn my alarm off. Gideon still has his arms around me. Before trying to wiggle my way out, I take in a deep breath of his eucalyptus scent. Chapter 31: True Family History Amelie "Come in, kiddo!" I didn't even have a chance to knock. Dad knew I was at the door. I open the door and see him and Celeste sitting on one of the sofas with books and scrolls on the coffee table in front of them. "Have a seat. We have lots to go over." Chapter 37: Heat Amelie It's so hot! I kick off the blanket. Gideon is still asleep. I try to be as quiet as possible and move to a cool spot on the bed, flip my pillow, and try to get back to sleep. Nope! Burning up! Do I have a fever? I feel fine; I'm just so hot. I get up as quietly as possible and go into the bathroom. I splash some cold water on my face, but it doesn't help. I turn on the shower and undress. I get under the cold water, and it feels better, but I'm still so hot. I get out of the shower and grab a towel.
