Chapter 27 | Song of the Sea

Gusts of cool wind blew through the tall window of the prison cell as I sat bundled up on my bed, wrapped in several layers of a long, thick blanket. Pale moonlight streamed through while the crashing sea waves were lulling me to sleep.

There was a strange comfort in being close to the ocean. The thought of having more frequent nightmares terrified me when Alpha Kayden mentioned Pier 37.
