48. The Third Dimension

Meanwhile in the human world, right after Abelard returned from the Devil Reign, bad news greeted him. Edith, his mother, died. Moreover, Edith had been buried two days ago.

"What does this mean?! Didn't we only go out for a day? How come a week has passed here?" Abelard demanded of Satan who was standing by the window with his arms crossed. His face was flushed with veins that were clearly printed on his neck, a sign that his anger had peaked. He felt cheated.

"Ah, I haven't told you that one day in the demon world is the same as one week in the human world?" Satan replied casually. Doesn't seem guilty at all.

"You! You should have told me something important like that earlier!" Abelard punched the large glass in the room to crack while glaring at Satan. Blood oozed from his knuckle hit by the broken glass. He needed something to vent his anger, and the glass was the victim.

"You didn't ask, Abelard." A scornful grin graced Satan's lips.
