River Rave

I don’t remember how I survived the fall down the cliff’s edge. The impact against the surface of the river itself should have done quite a number on me, and if not that, the coldness or the strength in which it dragged me along. Even as a werewolf, there was no way I could have swum against the current. The only thing I remember was slowly dragging myself to the river bank the moment the current relaxed.

My paws gave out under me. Even Lumi was so exhausted that she had gone back to sleep. Or perhaps whatever had happened on the cliff tops had drained her? I couldn’t bring myself further away from the riverbank, so I found myself a large rock that was smooth enough to crawl on. It was going to be a long, chilly night, so I stayed in this form. If I tried to survive in a human form, I would surely succumb to the elements, but in this form, I at least had a chance.
