To Be Home

It feels like I have been gone for years when it has only been a few months. I can finally smell the familiar scents of my pack’s homeland. I’m honestly quite excited to be coming home after so long! Aderyn flies just overhead and has been my eyes in the sky to ensure a safe journey home. It’s pretty late at night, so I don’t expect anyone to come and greet me. I also didn’t let anyone know so that I could surprise them.

Thanks to the witch's training, I’ve learned a lot about my powers and now Aderyn has a more physical form and can be about during the day without vanishing, however, since he is still a familiar, his powers still rely on the shadows and darkness so he is stronger at night.

I have a book to study spells from, though it is in the witch’s language, so no one should be able to read or understand any of it
