6.

" I know you wanted her, and not me but please I just don't do it in front of me," Briella said walking out of his bathroom with a short towel around her beautiful body frame. The hot water in her room wasn't working so she decided to use the bathroom in her husband's room. She heard him when he came into the room but decided to remain quiet without letting him know about her presence.

" What were you doing in there?" he asked becoming defensive.

" I came to take a shower Kendrick, it's not as if I killed someone or stole something. I work to earn my own money," she replied waiting for an answer.

" Yeah, I thought so too." she walked to her room. Ever since he got back from his trip he had been acting too suspicious and as if she was in his personal space.

Briella changed into something warm but sexy, packed a duffel bag, and left the house without telling anyone. She needed to cool off and wrap her head over what was going on. The only place she thought of going to was the house she bought in honor of her mom. That was her safe haven. Currently, her cousin was occupying that house and she was the only person who understood Briella.

" Alyssa, have you seen Br- I - I mean my wife around? She's not in my room neither is she taking her calls." Kendrick explained.

" No sir, the last time I saw her was when she going to take a shower." Alyssa shrugged.

He went outside to check the garden, water fountain, summer hut, tree cabin but she wasn't at any of these places.

Where could she have gone without telling me? He wondered walking back into the house.

" Can you get me something to eat, Alyssa?" he instructed turning on the television.

" What happened this time Brie?" Cerys asked opening the door for her cousin.

" Well, it seems my husband is still stuck up on his ex or maybe some other woman," she explained taking a drink from the fridge.

" Brie, that's no point for you to leave your house and come here. I am in no way justifying his inclusion but you've got to fight for him. Yes, you two barely know each other, but now is the time to do so. You may never know what that skinny scallywag is up to." Cerys tried reasoning with her.

" Urgh, fine but can I stay over tonight and leave tomorrow? I'm already here," she stated the obvious.

" It's your house love, you are welcome to stay as long as you want but it's my duty to correct you when you're wrong and that's what I have just done." Cerys prompted.

" I know and I appreciate it but I just want to stay, for a day or two just to clear my mind and reflect on my choices. Not that I could turn back the hand of time, if I could I really would have. You know..." she trailed off.

" I understand you perfectly, I just hope you don't ponder too much over it," she rubbed her back walking towards the oven.

Kendrick paced up and down his room wondering where his wife was and why she wasn't returning his calls.

Had something bad happened to her? He couldn't help but worry.

" She would have answered or responded to your call if she wanted you to know where she was," he said to himself almost immediately as his phone rang. It was his wife calling. He picked up the phone without saying a word waiting for her to speak.

" I just wanted to say, I am fine and nothing bad has happened. I just need to clear my mind that's why I left home and I am sorry for not letting you know about that either," Brie apologized. She may be a badass and all, but she was a softie inside a trait she didn't want many people to know about.

" Glad you're fine," Kendrick responded ending the call abruptly. He was relieved at the same time angry. Angry because she left without telling him, the funny part was that she left the house because of him and he still got the guts to be angry at her!

" I deserved that and at the same time, I didn't deserve that. I caught him talking to his ex and he has the audacity to be mad, and I cannot because I am his wife?!" Brie yelled angrily picking up her bag.

" Um, where are you going with the bag?" Cerys asked amused.

" Back to where I came from," she added walking towards the door.

" It's late to drive, Brie please spend the night." Cerys pleaded.

" I would be fine babe. No cause for alarm. As soon as I get home I would call or text you," she hugged her cousin heading out to her car.

She was fuming the whole time she drove back home. She wasn't going to fight him verbally, nope. She had no strength whatsoever for those to and fro banters, besides there were outdated. She had her own plans and that was going to start tonight.

Kendrick picked up his phone and started flirting with one of his side pieces. Brie could hide wherever she wanted for all he cared, that was giving him more room to do what he wanted anyway. Freedom to cheat and flirt.

Only if he knew what she had planned for him. Within 2 and a half hours, she had arrived home safely and had sent a quick message to her cousin confirming she had reached home before getting out of the car with her bag. It was 1:00 am morning and Kendrick and Alyssa were fast asleep by then. Kendrick's guards were the only ones who saw her coming back into the house. She unlocked the door with her spare keys and locked the doors as soon as she got in.

Was she being secretive? Nope, if she was the guards wouldn't have seen her enter. She climbed up to her room, unlocked the door, dropped her bag on the floor close to her bed, and entered the bathroom that was after she had locked the door to her room.

She ran herself a bubble bath relaxing and sipping on a glass of wine.

He sucks. I know they didn’t marry for love or even know each other, but he seems like a shitty person in general.
