Chapter 154

Chris’ pov

My first week at the Iron River pack went different than I thought. Although most packmembers were nice and welcoming, I miss my old friends and home. I feel like an outsider here and I hoped that starting at school would help. It didn’t though. There is a lot going on at that school, new students and teachers that aren’t sure they want to be around half-bloods and humans. I’ve been having a lot of students in my office, that I have to reprimand for mistreating their half blood students.

It's not easy though. I was raised the same way they were, taught that humans are dangerous and not to be trusted. And now they are here in this pack. Cyrus doesn’t seem to be dangerous at all. I ran into him the second day I was at the packhouse. He made Alpha Osiris laugh, which seemed to be impossible.

Meadow is being so strong and brave. Letting anyone touch you at all after that kind of trauma is so difficult; and so is trusting again.

I can only imagine what trauma meadow has. But i like that chris is trying and hope he can be patient. Also meadow has to try because the is still letting her ex mate and abuser control her. She need to break free and try to live her life because if she doesn’t try they still win.
