Chapter Three

Jason's P.O.V. ......

"Jason wake up"

"No"

"Jason wake up"

"No, go away"

"Jason should I remind you of what today is."

At that my ass flew out of bed and straight into the shower.

"Goddess, Alex what didn't you start with that?" I asked my wolf

"Well I didn't think you would forget that today is our mate's birthday and the day she will finally know who we are to her." Alex replied sharply.

"I'm sorry, but I wasn't the one pacing back and forth all night keeping me awake most of the night."

" I'm sorry but it has been a long year. Especially the last few weeks." Alex replied 

 I knew what he ment. For most of the year we had been able to keep our longing at bay. But these last few days without getting to see or talk to Venus my head was starting to hurt. 

  I had told Zeus the moment I felt the bond. I remember that day like it was yesterday. The day when all my worries and fears went away the day I had found her. My mate. 

1 year ago....

"Man, I am so ready to be home."

"You are telling me Jason. 5 years straight of not seeing my family. 5 years of studying and training. That reminds me do mind stopping at the mall with me? It's Venus' birthday and I don't want to come home empty handed." Zeus stated 

"Dude, you guys spoil that girl. How she isn't an entitled princess is beyond me." I replied back.

   Venus was the only daughter of Alpha Jackson and Luna Alice. She was also the baby of their four children. They all treated her like she walked one water. All three of the older brothers were very over protective of her and let everyone know it. Venus wasn't like most annoying younger sisters though. She respected and adored her brothers. She mostly kept to herself and didn't get into their personal lives. It was almost like she was just there because she had to be. She never followed us around. Zeus and I had been best friends for as longs as I could remember.  

"Dude shut it." Zeus said laughing "You know damn well that Venus isn't like that and never will be."

 

    A few hours later we had made it to the pack house. Zeus' parents and brothers filed out of the house.

"How was the trip home boys?" Alpha Jackson asked while wrapping us up in a huge hug.

"Great dad just long and tiring.  Where in Venus? I stopped along the way and got her a..." 

"Zu-Zu, you're here!" Came the most excited squeal I had ever heard.

At that moment everything happened at once. Venus ran out of the house and jumped into Zeus' waiting arms. Just as she past me the smell of crisp apples mixed with fresh rain hit me.

"Mine" Alex growled in my head.

"What?" 

"Mine. She is mine. Grab her now."

"What, Venus?"

"Yes dumbass, she is our mate."

"No, she can't be. We can't Alex. Zeus will kill me."

"No he won't. At most he will be upset for awhile and get over it. We didn't choose her. Goddess gave her to us. Now walk over there and kiss her." Alex growled at me.

"We can't. She is 17. She won't feel the bond." I growled back

"Hey Jason you okay there?" Zeus asked me through mind-link.

"No man, I am not okay." I replied back

"What? Why?"

"Because you're hugging my mate."

"Wait, what did you say?"

"Venus, man. She is my mate." 

Zeus' eyes got as huge a saucers. First there was confusion, then there was straight anger.

"My room NOW!!!" Zeus roared in my head.

"It is so great seeing everyone. But I'm going to take my bags up and get unpacked." I say trying my hardest to fight the urge of grabbing Venus and kissing her. 

" Of all the she wolves in this pack why her?" I ask Alex

"Because she is our perfect mate. Goddess made her exactly for us."

I push him to the back of my mind as I quickly throw my bags in my room and run to Zeus' room. I don't have to wait very long before Zeus is here and looking like he wanted to kill me.

"Zeus, man you know I have no control..."

"Shut it Jason. I know you have no control. But my sister, really? Are you sure." He asked. I could see he was fighting his wolf for control. 

"I'm sure man. It took everything in me to keep Alex at bay. He is going crazy. Look I won't mark her until she's..."

"You won't mark her? No Jason you won't tell her. Not until she turns 18 and figures it out. You need to stay away from her until then. Go away on a trip do something but this, you two won't be happening until she knows." 

"You know I can't stay away from her. It will make my wolf crazy. But I promise I won't say or do anything to make her know I'm her mate. But please don't send me away."

Zeus stood there quite for some time. 

"Fine Jason. Just keep your head around her. She would freak out if she found out you were her mate. She plans on leaving for a year the day after she turns 18."

"Wait, what are you talking about?"

"Venus has a trip planned man. She has been planning this trip since she was 14. But she has been talking about it since I can remember. She is leaving for a year over to Europe. She wants to see the world before she has to settle down and be the loving mate and have kids. I can tell you it won't be easy getting her to be okay with the fact that you are her mate"
